Exfoliating Aqua Vegan Peel Gel with Green Tea

OMG. I have been using this product for a little over a week now and holy heckinbob! I have struggled with severely dry skin since I turned 30,or so I thought. Turns out I have a ton of build up of dead skin. This peel sloughs away all that dead skin and reveals bright glowing skin. I highly highly recommend!

This peeling gel isn’t your ordinary peeling gel this is both chemical and physical exfoliant and doesn’t irritate my super sensitive acne prone skin. On the contrary it made my skin super soft, reduced redness and made my skin even toned. This is the best thing you can do to your skin.

I've used the peel 2-3 times now and I'm happy with how smooth my skin becomes after using.
I'm also happy to be removing another element of micro plastics from my routine!

I was kindly gifted this by Mother Made for beauty testing purposes, and I will say I enjoyed using this peel!

I applied to test it because I personally am not a fan of physical exfoliants, and since this one said it was a chemical exfoliant as well, I was hoping it would be a "best of both worlds" kind of situation that could get me to love a good scrub. The Exfoliating Aqua Peel Gel is a peel exfoliant suspended in a lightweight gel that glides very easy on the skin. I found that I had to scrub harder than usual to get the results I wanted because of how mild it is. The scent is very pleasant, and it really did leave my skin nice and smooth without drying it out. The cellulose acts as the physical exfoliant while the papaya fruit extract acts as the "chemical" exfoliant, and I'm a fan of the vitamin C, green tea and willow bark in the formula. This gets 4 stars from me simply because I really cannot bring myself to use a physical exfoliant regularly, so it is simply out of preference. But I wouldn't mind reaching for this once or twice a month.

I have only ever experienced one peeling gel other than this one from Mother Made and in just 2 weeks of using this my standards have already been set high! For reference: I have sensitive-combination skin with hyperpigmentation and hormonal breakouts.

Some of my thoughts:
✓ this is super gentle for my sensitive skin
✓ I was able to use this even tho I had some active acne (cystic and pustules) and to my surprise, those were not irritated and had even calmed down
✓ a little goes a long way so even if you use this 2-3x a week it will still last for long
✓ my face feels supple, smooth and hydrated after using this!
✓ my con for my other peeling gel was that some of the balls stick to my facial hair - and I have a lot - so it was so hard to remove them; this peel gel from Mother Made did NOT do that and was really easy to rinse off
✓ its brightening claims are true; my face instantly brightens up every after use
✓ I LOVE the scent of this - it helps me calm down
✓ did not break me out
✓ does not sting my eyes

I also used this on my boyfriend who has dry skin and it worked well for him too! His acne that time also calmed down and his skin became hydrated and supple.

All in all I love this so much and I don't think any other peel gel could compare! I have no negative thoughts towards this at all because it delivered all its claims almost immediately and doesn't have any backfire on my skin. The effects of using this also lasts on me and I have seen immense improvement with my skin's texture and has lessened my clogged pores. I like to use this for a good 2-3 minutes since I really like the feeling of massaging it on my skin.
